Having an animal party for your kid birthday is a great choice, kids are always curious about animal and love playing with animals Whether you are organizing a jungle party, safari animal theme, animal farm party or zoo party theme the animal party ideas below are all applicable.

“Announcement from the animal kingdom!”

You are invited to the lion king (birthday child name) at

You can deliver your invitation by the following way

• Write your detail of your invitation to card and with a string hang it on the necks of small stuffed animals, such as lion, bear or dog and ask the children to bring their animal stuff toys to the party.

• Send each child a mask that cut out from cardboard and write your party detail on the back of the mask. Ask each child to decorate the mask like an animal and wear them to the party.

• Take a photo of your dog and write your invitation detail behind the photo.

• Print and cut out animal figure or picture from color paper and write party detail on the paper to deliver.

Guess the Animal sound. A week before the party, you would like to record about 10 to 20 sounds in cassette tape or you would down load some from the internet play it from a PC or laptop on that day for your guest to guess. Pin the lion tail This game is play like the pin the donkey tail instead of donkey you draw a big lion on a big piece of paper and hang it on the wall. Each child is to be blind folded and used an animal sticker to stick on the paper with a lion drawn on it. The child who sticker got nearest to the lion tail is the winner.

Decorate animal masks

Let the children make their own animal masks during the party. Provide colored cardboard or paper plates, yarn, wall-paper and fabric scraps, glue, and scissors.

Hunt for wild animals

Hide plastic animals at different corner of the party place or at your garden. Let the children hunt for the plastic animals, they may keep the plastic animal as a party favor to bring it back.

Lion Roar

Place pillows enough for each child in a circle, all the children will walk around the circle doing the action of any animal like imitating dog, elephant etc… The birthday child will be the lion standing a distance from the guest when he said lion roar, all the children are supposed to run to the nearest pillow and step on the pillow. If the birthday child managed to catch anybody before they run to their pillow, the child will be out of the game. The last person who did not catch by the lion will be the winner.

Feed the Monkey

Draw a monkey face on a big box and cut a hole at the monkey mouth. Get each child a basket of plastic fruits or banana and draw a line away from the box near enough to throw thing at the box. The children will stand behind the line one after another to throw the basket of fruits into the monkey mouth. The one who got the most fruits into the monkey mouth is the winner.
